I love how Sound Pellegrino makes that extra effort, and actually challenge the producers they decide to release to reinvent themselves, in this case, through their new cross-over themed releases: unexpected co-produced tracks.

Our friends in the Swedish indieduo Stormakten released their new Ep today (which I guess is their debut Ep, since their last release was a single). Anyway check it, it's quite cool music. Released today: J.Op - Watered Down Washed Out EP
Some beautiful house music released today!
Buy it on iTunes!
Selected DJ-feeback and support:
Crowdcrushers:
"K-I-L-L-E-R Release! It's so gonna get played out this weekend..."
Sandy Loops:
"Very cool voice samples. Love the grooves in Mandeville Waltz!"
Dancefloor Mayhem:
"Both tracks are good House tunes. Will play on the radio and in my live sets."
Sandra Mosh:
""Watered down washed out" is quite simple in it's production, but yet very groovy! Sweet bass and sampling."
Fex Fellini:
"Nice mood in Watered Down Washed Out. Will work great in a early morning afterhour set!"
About:
Jonatan Opasiak aka J.Op is one half of the south swedish duo WooBanger, and makes his solo debut on 12-3 recordings with a double sided monster of funky house. A –side, Watered Down Washed Out, sounds lika a steamy street, a light flooded bar, a moody house jewel that’ll surely work as good in your iPod as on a big floor.
On the uptempo B-side, J.Op joins forces with Malmö fellow DJ Makks, for a bouncy, high quality house track. Delightful, efficient and groovy, an excellent b-side to the melancholic title track.

Sticky Stockholm - Free Tracks Vol 1
When producing, i sometimes (really often) stumble upon samples, voice cuts or sounds that i want to use, but never will pull off releasing.
So, after playing aroundwith a bunch of those samples for a while, i finally decided to finish some of the sketches and make them full tracks, have them mastered and release them for free. Mostly to keep them in my own sets, but also to share them with you guys.
Enjoy!

Jay Lumen - Faceball EP
Free stuff: Orphans STHLM - Toadify
In a couple of weeks you'll be able to hear our newest release about video games, which we're really happy about. Just because we are such darn nice guys (see? no profanity!) and had a track to spare (that was also about video games but really didn't fit in with the other tracks) we decided to give it away for free. The tune, "Toadify", is weird little techno tune about:
1). Videogames, specially one in particular.
2). Mating amphibians.
3). A really crappy thing that can happen to you in Talisman: The Board Game.
Enjoy!

This Sexicanz-track has been one of my favourite tracks lately, loads of fun and well laid out. Be sure to buy the whole Bay Area Super Dank EP here.
When dropping it on our label night two weeks ago, I however felt that I needed a version with a bit more forward movement in it. So here's a fresh edit, with the same vocals, but a new beat and a thumping synth!

Florian Blauensteiner - Hold on EP
Another fine addition to the Klasse Recordings catalog. Loving the f:ed up and disstorted melody thingamajig on "62 Steps" (it's probably a synt, but it sounds like a saxophone having, hrm, intercourse with an electric guitar).
I got to say though, that the cover makes me worry for Klasse. From what I've heard, the very powerful entertainment company, which the cover is an obvious nod to, doesn't take kindly to their characters being parodied other than by themselves. Oh well, knock on wood. I hope I didn't jinx anything

Steve Jobs RIP
While not exactly a music artist, there is no denial that Steve Jobs and Apple we're pivotal in the way we listen to and buy music today (amongst other things). And it's probably safe to say that the vast majority of producers, dj:s and musicians, no matter what genre, have used the Mac as their preferred production/recording tool.
On a more personal note, Macs have been in my family ever since my dad bought our first computer, a Performa 600 (32 MHz and a whooping 4 mb of RAM). That beast is still somewhere in my closet and I have very fond memories of playing games like Marathon, Sim City 2000, Civilization and Monkey Island on it. To this day I've only had macs at home, but today I mostly use it for music and work.
Anyway, enough with the sentimentalities. Steve Jobs, we salute you!

About:
Welcome to the the deep house dream: t-shirt-too-hot New York summer streets, late night laughing at Club Shelter or Cielo, Coronas and weightless grooves. Thank you for flying with Enkae airlines.
The best deep house ep you'll hear this year is made by London lad Benjamin McKinlay, aka Enkae: It's tight, with atmosphere to fill out any club in the world, productions packed with soul. If the club was a beer bottle, this would be a fresh lime, tasty enough to keep you drinking till the wee hours of the morning.
