8th of march special: La Fleur

It's the 8th of March today, the International Womens Day, a super important day indeed.

The world of men and women is far from equal in so many ways, and certanly in this male dominated DJ-buisness. The goal is as always, to let people be judged and praised as humans, and not by their gender, etnicity or sexuality, but till that blessed day - let's take some action!

So, today we'll each do a post about a female producer, someone we think is completely and utterly awesome - for their skills as dj:s and producers. There's many brilliant female producers out there, but sometimes, they tend to disapear in the never ending wave of loud screaming dj-dudes.

La Fleur is a Swedish DJ-veteran, now living in Berlin, who both do amazing dj-sets and run a dope label, as well as producing fantastic contemporary house music, with a certain vintage touch to it. In this post, her legendary Flowerhead track, as well as the magic a-side production from the most recent Petals On Fire EP.

There's no coincidence I find myself mixing her tracks in my sets ever so often. Her brilliance can not be exaggerated!
